incorporation smartphone applications company?

September 4, 2010

Hello everyone,

As a french citizen, I would like to know where it would be the best to incorporate my smartphone applications business. My first market would be the USA but for tax reasons, I don’t know what country would be best to incorporate in (Seychelles, Malta? ) I want to start with the US market but the end result will be a worldwide market for my app.

Would it be best to incorporate in Delaware? But I might get a working visa for the USA so will not be able to have activities related to my business while on the american territory…This is why I was thinking about the Caribbean. But would a bank account there lower my chances to do business with american businesses ? (my first app will be a geo-locaiton one and will need contracts with american businesses)

Thank you for your constructive answers..

This summer has been a busy one for smartphone platforms. We started the summer with an Apple iOS update that remedied a number of the primary concerns with Apple’s iDevice platforms, followed by the launch of the iPhone 4. Meanwhile, the Android flagship crown was passed between no less than 4 devices (HTC Incredible, HTC EVO 4G, Droid X, and now arguably Droid 2 or Galaxy S phones), and Google …

Should I get a laptop or a smartphone?

August 30, 2010

I am in high school, and am trying to decide between 3 options: a smart phone, a netbook, and a laptop. I am in all accelerated classes, but my messy notes are practically useless, and so my grade struggles, although I have A’s and B’s. I have a nice gaming desktop, but I don’t like Vista, and it’s overkill for much else. I would be allowed to use the Netbook or Notebook in class, but not the Phone. I also want to start an online business doing programming or web design. And I want to be mobile, so battery life is a must. My parents would pay half either way, and they would be about equal in cost. The Smartphone would be the Touch Pro, on Sprint, the Laptop, would be a last gen, or bottom line Macbook, and the netbook would be the Eee PC 901, or the 6 Cell Windows MSI Wind. Please email me with any questions. So what do you think?
